“But friends, you’re not in the dark, so how could you be taken off guard by any of this? You’re sons of Light, daughters of Day. We live under wide open skies and know where we stand. So let’s not sleepwalk through life like those others. Let’s keep our eyes open and be smart. People sleep at night and get drunk at night. But not us! Since we’re creatures of Day, let’s act like it. Walk out into the daylight sober, dressed up in faith, love, and the hope of salvation.”

very true there are just some days when u are in the darkness and don’t want to go out and do anything just stay home and do absolutley nothing…..and you might not feel bad that your in total darkness and not in light where it is safe and you are walking and talking with God……….there are moments like those, you just have to realize that living in the dark can be dangerous and very lonely just beliveing and having faith in yourself that God as SOMETHING GREAT AND AMAZING is quite a feeling. but u are going to have days that totally stink in every aspect.you just have to fight it and beat the bad thoughts and the iffy situations. in the end none of the bad moments will ever come to mind!!! i believe its all worth it!!
yours trul, Nicole

“The Message” should not be considered a “translation of the Bible”.

for all the purists out there…
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. (KJV)
