Applying true spirituality to our lives means waking up from our slumber. Most humans are physically, mentally, and spiritually asleep and don’t even realize it. Some even die without ever experiencing the fullness of being awake. All the while, missing the beauty and delight of experiencing life with eyelids open...
People tend to be extremely negative towards the church these days. We agree that the church has faults, can miss the mark, and drops the ball on being all that it was intended to be. However, we have not given up on it. It’s our intent to give followers of God practical and insightful truths about waking up and being the Church that God created. Across denominational lines, styles, and trends, the Church of God should be fully awake up and acting on the faith which they possess.
why the sloth?
The sloth is the only mammal that sleeps 16-18 hours per day; it’s entire existence can be summed up in a few words: bored, numb, tired, and purposeless. Too many times, we as representations of Christ are also bored, numb, tired, and purposeless. But, we were not intended to be this way. Christ looked at humanity and said this bold statement, “You are the Light of the world.” The Church is to be the most tangible and genuine representation of the character and persona of God.
